White label company secretarial for accountants

Confirmation statements, officer and share changes and the records behind them, prepared for your approval and tracked so that no filing date is missed.

Tell us what is piling up

Company secretarial work is small, frequent and easy to forget, and the penalty for forgetting falls on your client. Most practices do it for a modest fixed fee per company, which only works if nobody senior is spending time on it. Our own delivery business, Buzz, does this work for other practices on a white label basis, prepared under your firm’s name and filed through your own Companies House access.

What we take on

The deadline list

For most practices the risk is the missed date more than the difficulty of the work. When we start, we build one list of every company you act for, with its confirmation statement date, accounts deadline and anything else outstanding. Work is prepared ahead of each date and sent to you for approval with time to spare. You see the whole list each week: what is done, what is due and what is waiting on a client.

Identity verification and who is allowed to file

Companies House now expects directors and people with significant control to verify their identity, and it is tightening the rules on who can file on a company’s behalf. A firm that files for clients needs to be registered as an authorised corporate service provider, and that registration, and the identity checks made under it, belong to your firm. We prepare the filings, gather the documents, chase the people who have not yet verified and keep the record of who has. The filing itself goes through your firm’s own access. Our Companies House identity verification checklist sets out what each person needs to do.

Why practices hand this over

The work itself is straightforward. What makes it expensive is who ends up doing it: usually a manager fitting a share transfer in between year ends, or the owner doing confirmation statements at night. Handing it to a named person, with a list and a routine, makes it a predictable job that is billed properly. It also leaves company records tidy, which matters the day a client sells their business or you sell your practice.

How you buy it, and what it costs

This work is sold through Muckin, the business we own for exactly this. It is staffed by the same Buzz team described on this page. You take a seat, which is a fixed share of a named person's month, and fill it with whatever work you need. The price is the same whether a job runs long or short, so there is no hourly bill to check. Muckin publishes its seat prices, and its capacity calculator turns your workload into the number of seats it would take.

Frequently asked questions

Do you file at Companies House in your own name?

No. Filings are prepared by us and made through your firm’s own Companies House access, so your firm remains the agent on record and the client sees only you.

Who carries out identity verification?

Your firm, under its own registration as an authorised corporate service provider, or the individual directly with Companies House. We handle the administration around it: gathering documents, chasing and keeping the record.

Can you bring incomplete company records up to date?

Yes. Missing share records and unfiled changes are common in a block of clients taken over from another firm. We rebuild what can be supported from the filing history and the client’s papers, and list anything that needs your decision.

Do you handle share reorganisations?

We prepare the documents for routine changes such as new share classes, allotments and transfers. Where a change has tax consequences or needs legal advice, that advice stays with you or the client’s solicitor, and we prepare the paperwork once it is settled.

How is this priced?

It is done within a seat, alongside any other work you want that person to do, so there is no fee per filing. Muckin publishes its seat prices.
